This complex and distinctive American produced truck was supplied in huge numbers to the U.S., British and Allied armies during WW-II. It is simply one of the most distinctive trucks ever made and a true 'classic'.Tehnical details:6-cyl. 145-bhp engine(Continental 22R 501 cid ohv) riving rear or all axles via 5-speed(OD top)gearbox and 2-speed transfer box.Air brakes.Leaf-spring suspension,inverted at rear.Tyre size 1.00-20.Wheelbase 181(BC 52)in. Overall dimensions 348x100x117 in. Weight 31200 lb.In 1943 this restyled truck,Wrecking,Heavy,M1A1” with power-operated crane was standardized. Production (until 1945) by Ward LaFrance and Kenworth(Model 573),both with same appearance.
